Cressida Toon

Cressida Toon is a UK qualified architect who has spent the majority of her career in healthcare architecture and has been involved in the design of large PFI hospitals, community projects and mental health facilities. Cressida and her husband Gary Toon established Sonnemann Toon Architects in 2002 and whilst the practice has diverse portfolio that extends into the commercial and residential sectors, it is arguably best known for complex refurbishment projects for healthcare in the period buildings of London’s Great Estates.

She enjoys working with clients on the establishment of design standards to enable the application of consistent specifications across diverse healthcare estates and is currently working with the NHS on projects that target their vision for the future- involving greater integration between primary and specialist care, physical and mental health care, and health and social care.
