Eleanor Richardson

Ellie Richardson has been a Health Care Planner at Great Ormond Street Hospital for 12 years, during which she has been involved in the briefing and design of the Trusts long term redevelopment programme. Recently she has been co-ordinating the client team working on the Zayed Centre for Research into Rare Disease in Children.

An experienced senior nurse and operational manager, Ellie brings a wealth of practical knowledge to the briefing table, and has worked in a number of health care settings both inside and outside the UK. A graduate of Birkbeck College and MARU, she has advised on projects outside the Trust and has been invited to lecture and review design students work at Metropolitan University and KLC.

Ellie has a keen interest in inclusive design and her key expertise include briefing and design review of technical areas such as imaging, investigation and surgery suites, clean rooms and paediatric and autism friendly environments.
