Emma Stockton

Emma's clinical interests include anaesthesia for cardio-thoracic surgery and interventional radiology.

In 2016, she completed a Masters in Planning Buildings for Health, borne out of frustration with the paucity of clinical input into designing hospitals. As part of her the masters, she identified one barrier to clinical involvement as a lack of understanding of the building process.

In response, she joined forces with the MARU faculty and set up “Building Blocks for Clinicians” – a course that empowers doctors, nurses and other health professionals to collaborate creatively with design teams.
