Healthcare Design Leadership

Healthcare Design Leadership is a not-for-profit community interest company (CIC) with the purpose of providing training which will empower healthcare leaders to maximise their input in the hospital development process. Our multi-disciplinary faculty consists of clinicians, healthcare planners, architects, contractors, engineers and researchers, from across the healthcare built environment. Our team are industry leaders in their respective fields, with decades of experience in planning and delivering new healthcare buildings.

We strongly believe that by supporting NHS Healthcare Leaders to enhance their skills in the nexus of hospital development will result in the healthcare buildings of the future being truly transformational and fit for future generations. Our aim is to enable Healthcare Leaders to maximise their skill and involvement in the briefing, planning, design, construction and commissioning process; shaping the way healthcare will be delivered in the future through increased engagement and input into developing new healthcare buildings.

The Healthcare Design Leadership course provides an immersive introduction to the whole project lifecycle, providing opportunities for hands on experience of the process and products developed at each stage. The course supports healthcare leaders by identifying the importance of involvement in the whole of the project process and supporting the operational effectiveness and quality of hospital design.

The Healthcare Design Leadership Courses are provided in two formats;
A two-day residential course at St Catherine’s College, Oxford University for all healthcare professionals involved in a healthcare development project and;
A bespoke course specifically designed to support the requirements of a particular project.
