Regina is Associate Director of Healthcare Strategy and Planning at ETL. She has spent the past 20+ years trying to work out what makes a hospital facility work well for all its stakeholders. As an independent architect partnering with a construction firm specialising in healthcare facilities, in the ‘90s, Regina made a study of the elements required for a successful brief and business case for the procurement of a hospital.
Regina contributed to university degree courses in healthcare management, teaching classes on evidence-based design, as well design and procurement process management in Brazil. She designed hospitals and healthcare complexes in Brazil and Ireland before joining the Qatari healthcare system as a health facility planning and design programme manager and is currently focused on stakeholder engagement and evidence-based planning.
